How to Prepare for Your Appointment

Maid It New: Before Cleaning, During, and After Cleaning Guidelines

We are just as excited as you are for your upcoming cleaning appointment! To ensure a seamless experience, please review the following guidelines. These steps help set clear expectations and allow our team to provide the highest quality service. Additionally, we encourage you to check our cleaning checklist to understand what is included in your selected service.

Before Cleaning...

  • Rescheduling or Cancellation: If you need to reschedule or cancel your booking, please do so at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation or rescheduling fee.

  • Decluttering: Please remove piles of clothing, toys, or other items that may obstruct our cleaning process. If extensive organization is needed, consider adding organizational services to your booking. Without this, the appointment may exceed the scheduled time.

  • Furniture Movement: If you require cleaning under or behind large furniture, please ensure it is moved before our team arrives. To prevent injuries, our staff is not permitted to move heavy furniture.

  • Booking the Correct Service: It is essential to book the appropriate service for your needs. Our team is committed to exceeding expectations, but booking the wrong service may result in additional charges or time adjustments, which could disrupt our schedule. If the correct services are not booked, we cannot guarantee our work.

  • Trash Removal: Please ensure that excessive trash is removed before the cleaning. Our team can dispose of up to two large kitchen bags of trash.

  • Toilet Preparation: Flush all toilets prior to the team’s arrival.

  • Pet Safety: Secure your pets in a designated area for their safety and the efficiency of our cleaning process. If your pet sheds or has left stains, please include the pet fee in your booking.

  • Linen Preparation: If you require linen changes, please set out clean sheets on each bed prior to our arrival.

During the Cleaning...

  • Professional and Respectful Service: Our team consists of kind, dedicated professionals who take pride in their work. We kindly ask that they be treated with the same respect you would extend to a trusted friend.

  • Presence During Cleaning: If you are home during the cleaning, our team will work around you while you go about your routine. If you are not home, rest assured that our team will diligently clean your space while you’re away.

  • No Other Contractors or Vendors: Please ensure that no other contractors or service providers are working in the home during the scheduled cleaning. If other vendors are present, we may need to reschedule the service.

  • Additional Requests: If you have any special requests during your cleaning, please contact management immediately at (202) 599-7683. We will discuss your needs, provide pricing, and communicate with the team before they complete the service.

After the Cleaning...

  • Feedback & Follow-Up: After your initial cleaning, we will follow up to gather your honest feedback to ensure satisfaction.

  • Service Updates: If you wish to modify your service, we can update your account accordingly, and our team will reflect these changes in their next visit.

  • Satisfaction Guarantee: If our service does not meet your expectations, notify us within 72 hours, and we will schedule a re-clean to address any concerns.

  • Damage Policy: In the rare event of damage occurring during the cleaning, we will make every effort to repair or replace the item as necessary. Please review our Terms of Service for further details.

  • Trash Disposal: Our team will remove up to two large kitchen bags of trash. Any excess trash is the responsibility of the client.

  • Work Schedule: Our cleaning teams operate Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. We arrive equipped with top-quality cleaning supplies and a commitment to excellence.

  • Extended Cleaning Time: Since each home is unique, some spaces may require extra attention. Our team is dedicated to providing the best results and will take the necessary time to achieve a thorough clean.
